Lamin Lang Sanyang the 9th accused person in the criminal trial against former intelligence chief of the NIA has been granted bail by the high court. Sanyang is charged on two counts of forgery and the making of documents without authority. His defence lawyer Dayo small, previously filed a motion for bail based on a 20 paragraph affidavit, to which prosecutors raised no objections. Ruling on the bail application this morning, justice kumba sillah camara granted bail on behalf of the 9th accused on a bond of d500,000 including two Gambian sureties with properties in the greater Banjul area. The case continues on march 24th 2017.
